Your Step-by-Step Action Plan

1. Research (12-18 months before intake):

o Identify your preferred universities and programmes (NUS, NTU, SMU, etc.). o Attend virtual open houses and webinars. o Note down application deadlines – they are strict!

2. Prepare for Standardized Tests (12 months before):

o Book and prepare for your IELTS/TOEFL and any other required tests (SAT, etc.).

3. Prepare Your Application (6-9 months before):

o Academic Transcripts: Request official copies from your school. o Recommendation Letters: Approach your teachers or professors early. o Personal Statement / Essay: This is vital. Tailor it to each university, explaining your motivation, achievements, and why you chose Singapore. o CV/Portfolio: Especially important for postgraduate and specific courses (e.g., art, design).

4) Submit Application & Apply for Scholarships (By the deadline):

o Submit your application through the university's online portal before the deadline. o Simultaneously, apply for any scholarships you are eligible for.

5) Receive Offer & Apply for Student's Pass (3-4 months before):

o Once you accept an offer, the university will provide instructions to apply for the Student's Pass via ICA's SOLAR+ system. o Apply for the Tuition Grant if you are accepting it.

6) Pre-Arrival Preparations (1-2 months before):

o Book your flights and initial accommodation. o Attend pre-departure briefings offered by the university. o Join online groups to connect with future classmates.
